MCCU v Durham MCCU Update • 27/04/12

Day 2 of 2 of the MCCU Championship game up in Durham is due to start today at 12pm. Wednesday's BUCS Premier A fixture and the first day of this fixture yesterday were both rained off. Fingers crossed we pick up some points on the road today!

Well, after a great start to the season in terms of fixtures and warm weather, to correspond with the introduction of the hosepipe ban came rain, which has not let up since! Typical!

Wednesdays BUCS Premier A clash between Oxford MCCU and Leeds Bradford MCCU was rained off. Unfortunately Day 1 of the MCCU Championship 2 day fixture today has also had to be cancelled. Hopefully we will have some play tomorrow from 11am! 

Oxford MCCU take a lot of confidence from this drawn game against Worcestershire. 435 all out scored at 3.4 runs per over represented an excellent batting effort. Agarwal 76, and Jones 79 set the tone with some quality batting for the 2nd wicket. They picked off the bad ball and rotated the strike very well. The Warwickshire pair of Coleman (110) and captain Williams (92) ensured good momentum throughout the innings again picking off anything loose - something that the pros do especially well against us.

Oxford MCCU v Worcestershire CCC Match Preview • 12/04/12

Oxford MCCU host a strong Worcestershire side this weekend at the Parks. Worcestershire Coach Steve Rhodes includes full internationals Vikram Solanki (England) and Alexei Kervezee (Netherlands) in his side amongst others with a wealth of junior international and County cricket experience.

Oxford MCCU started off their BUCS Premier League campaign with a comfortable win against Southampton Solent University yesterday.
